# MAKEntas Workshop Series Hands-on Workshop Series with Openfab, Özyeğin University, 2026 (Part of an ongoing initiative since 2017) *Istanbul | Turkey Link: https://openfab.ozyegin.edu.tr/tr/makentas-2026 **Role:** Co-organizer & Co-instructor (Collaborators: G. Coşkun, C. Tezel) MAKEntas is an intensive, workshop-based learning program I co-developed to bridge the gap between digital interaction and physical making. The program attempts to demystify complex technologies, treating coding and AI not merely as technical skills, but as highly creative mediums for industrial design. As an active maker and researcher, I co-facilitated a series of interconnected workshops that took participants from abstract algorithms to tangible, interactive objects: - **Interactive Coding & Sensors:** Guided students in using AI-assisted tools to write C++ for Arduino, building physical prototypes that react to sensory inputs and human physical interaction. - **Digital-to-Physical Fabrication:** Directed the workflow from parametric 3D modeling (OpenSCAD) to physical mold-making, utilizing 3D printing, vacuum forming, and silicone casting. - **Sustainable Material Exploration:** Facilitated hands-on experimentation with bio-materials, testing the textures, durability, and formal relationships of sustainable cast objects. The resulting interactive and physical prototypes were exhibited collectively. This initiative demonstrates my ongoing commitment to hands-on, material-driven Research through Design (RtD), proving that digital interactions can be powerfully anchored in physical, sensory experiences.
